Recipe of Bhindi (Okra) Masala

Today's recipe is a simple Bhindi masala i.e., healthy, flavorful and delicious.
This Bhindi masala tastes great with rice, roti /chapati and is packed with healthy nutrients.
It is semi spicy, hot and full of flavors and it will make you really enjoy this recipe.

Prep Time : 10 mins
Cooking Time : 15 - 20 mins

Ingredients:

Bhindi (Okra)
Oil - 4 Tsp
Onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Ginger and Garlic paste - 1 Tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 Tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 Tsp
Red Chilli Powder - 1 Tsp
Curd - 2 Tsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1/2 Tsp
Curry leaves and Coriander Leaves - Handful
Salt and chickpea lentils as required









PROCESS:

Step 1 - Take a pan, add oil and let it heat.

Step 2 - Add Okra into the pan and saute it for a while. After Okra becomes golden brown transfer it into a plate.

Step 3 - Next in the same pan add chickpea lentils, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, curry leaves and chopped onions and fry it for 2-3  mins. Next add ginger and garlic paste.

Step 4 - After it has sauted well add turmeric, red chilli powder, coriander powder and salt to taste and mix it well.

Step 5 - Next add chopped tomatoes and continue stirring. Then add half a glass of water and place a lid over it and let it cook for 3 -4 mins.

Step 6 - After the masala has cooked well add curd to the masala and let it cook for 2 mins.

Step 7 - Add fried Okra (Bhindi) into the masala and stir it well. Place the lid and let it cook for 3 mins. 

Step 8 - Finally for the topping add chopped coriander leaves. Serve it with Roti / Chapati to enjoy the flavor.
