Recipe of Healthy Ragi Malt

I am back after a long time with a different recipe, This time I have decided to prepare Ragi (Finger Millet) Malt - This drink is known for its high immunity power and nutritional benefits such as boosting our calcium, contributing to weight loss as well as hydration for our body. This drink is very much needed during this pandemic as it will keep our body healthy and nourished if we drink it at least thrice a week. It is a very simple yet a healthy recipe which I'm sure you will definitely like and find useful.

Ragi flour - 3 Tbsp
Water - 3 full glasses
Jaggery and Dry fruits as required



PROCESS:

Step 1 - Take a bowl and add Ragi flour then slowly add a small amount of water and keep on stirring it while also still adding the remaining water.

Step 2 -Then take the bowl and put it on medium flame and let it boil for 3-4 mins. 

Step 3 - After the ragi has boiled well you will see a layer of foam on the top of the bowl. You must remove the entire top layer with a spoon.

Step 4 - After the ragi turns into a thick consistency, turn off the stove and transfer the ragi malt into a separate bowl.

Step 5 -Add desired amount of jaggery into the bowl and mix it well. Then take 3 glasses and serve the ragi. Lastly for better taste grate dry fruits such as Almonds, Pistachio or chopped Cashews as topping.



INGREDIENTS FOR RAGI WITH BUTTERMILK:

Ragi flour - 3 Tbsp
Water (for Ragi) - 3 full glasses
Curd - 3 Tbsp
Water (for Buttermilk)

Step 2 -Then take the bowl and put it on medium flame and let it boil for 3-4 mins.

Step 4 - After the ragi turns into a thick consistency, turn off the stove and transfer the ragi into a separate bowl. Next add a pinch of salt into the ragi malt and mix well.

Step 5 - Take a small bowl add 3 Tbsp of curd and equal amount of water and stir it until it is a smooth consistency( it shouldn't be too thick or too watery) .

Step 6 - Now, add the buttermilk which we have just prepared into the ragi bowl and mix it together then serve the ragi malt into 3 separate cups and garnish it with onion if desired.
